You Can Restore Amna Bibi’s Eyesight with Cataract Surgery
Amna Bibi's Story
Amna Bibi, a 22-year-old woman from Multan, is facing serious challenges due to her blurry and dim vision. Even tasks like recognizing faces and moving around safely have become difficult for her. Amna has been experiencing gradual vision loss in both eyes, and her left eye is more affected than the right one. Concerned about her worsening condition, she visited a doctor for a detailed check-up. After undergoing a thorough examination, she was diagnosed with bilateral cataract. It is the clouding of the natural lens of the eye. To restore her vision, the doctor has recommended left eye Phacoemulsification and Intraocular Lens surgery. Amna’s condition is growing worse with time. If she does not undergo surgery soon, the cataract may lead to complete vision loss in her left eye. However, her family can’t afford her treatment.
Amna lives with her husband, in-laws, and parents in a modest home in Multan. Her husband is a tailor, and her father is a laborer. Together, they earn only PKR 20,000 per month. With this modest income, managing basic needs is already a struggle for them. The family is surviving in extreme poverty and can’t afford Amna’s much-needed surgery. During this time of need, Amna contacted Transparent Hands and asked for help.
Amna said in despair:
“My eyesight is getting worse with each passing day. I struggle to take care of basic things and often feel helpless. I don’t want to become dependent on others at this age. I just want to see clearly and live a normal life. However, my husband and father can’t afford this surgery as we struggle to even cover our basic needs. I need your support in undergoing this surgery. Please help me.”
Amna is counting on your generosity. A single act of kindness can change her life and enable her to regain her sight.
Give Sadaqah and help Amna Bibi undergo this life-changing cataract surgery.
