Afia Bibi's Story

One-and-a-half-year-old Afia Abdul Islam, a resident of Laiyyah, had been suffering from breathlessness and cyanosis. Upon consultation, she was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot. The cardiologist advised an Open Heart Surgery for Total Correction Hence, she was sent to the Ittefaq Hospital to get her surgery done by Dr. Muhammad Asim Khan on 08-02-2022. She was kept in the hospital for six days and discharged in satisfactory condition. This surgery was made possible with the help of the Pakistan Children’s Heart Foundation. Afia’s little heart is now healthy.
