Ajwa’s Heart has been Cured
Ajwa Bibi's Story
Five-year-old Ajwa, a resident of Swat, was suffering from congenital heart disease. She had been enduring repeated episodes of chest pain and palpitation since birth. Upon consultation, she was diagnosed with Ventricular Septal Defect. The doctor advised Closure of Ventricular Septal Defect as a lasting cure. But, Ajwa’s family couldn’t afford the hefty cost of the procedure. They contacted Transparent Hands for assistance. Ajwa was sent to University of Lahore Teaching Hospital where the procedure was successfully performed by Dr. Faiz Rasool on 25-01-2022. This operation was made possible with the help of the Pakistan Children’s Heart Foundation. Ajwa is now cured and looks forward to a healthy bright future.
