Amna Welcomed Her Baby Girl Through a Safe C-Section

Amna Ishfaq's Story

Amna Ishfaq, a 33-year-old woman from Khanewal, was pregnant with her third child and faced a challenging moment. She had a history of two C-sections in the past. Therefore, the time that should have been filled with joy was overshadowed by extreme worries. On a follow-up visit with her gynecologist, Amna was told that she would need another C-section for childbirth. However, the cost of the C-section was beyond his family’s financial capacity.

Amna lives separately from her husband. She is staying at her parents’ home with her two children to receive support during this critical time. Her father, the sole breadwinner in the family, works as a farmer and earns just PKR 15,000 per month. After covering their necessities, they were left with nothing to save for Amna’s C-section. Facing financial hardships, they were unable to pay for her C-section. During this difficult time, Amna turned to Transparent Hands and asked us to register her case.

On August 5, 2025, Amna was admitted to Bakhtawar Amin Memorial Trust Hospital in Multan. Her C-section was successfully performed by Dr. Asim Iqbal on August 6, 2025. The procedure was a great success, and Amna gave birth to a baby girl. She received critical monitoring and essential medicines and was discharged in good health on August 8, 2025.

Amna expressed her emotions as follows:
