Ayesha Fatima's Story

Ayesha Fatima, aged 5 years, was unable to pass stool since she was born. Therefore, the doctors made a colostomy stoma on the third day of her life. Later after a rectal biopsy she was diagnosed with Hirschsprung disease. The doctor advised a Duhamel pull-through procedure for the correction of the defect. For this reason, she was admitted to Akram Medical Complex and the procedure was performed by Dr. M. Bilal Mirza on 22.04.2021. She stayed in the hospital for six days and was discharged in a stable condition. Ayesha is able to pass stool without any problem now.
