Aysha’s congenital cardiac defect was repaired
Aysha Rauf's Story
Aysha Rauf, 9 years old, suffered from breathing difficulty since she was born. On detailed medical check-up, she was diagnosed with a condition called Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) and was advised surgical intervention. For this reason, Aysha was admitted in Ittefaq Hospital and her open heart surgery for total correction was performed by Dr. Asim Khan on 23.12.2020. She stayed in the hospital for six days and was discharged in a satisfactory condition. Aysha has had a swift postoperative recovery and she is in good health now. The surgery was conducted with the support of Pakistan Children Heart foundation and other donors.
