Azeema Stepped into Motherhood with a Safe C-Section

Azeema Qadir's Story

Azeema Qadir, a 21-year-old woman from Karachi, was pregnant and preparing to welcome her first child. This pregnancy was especially precious due to her medical condition. Azeema has short stature and was diagnosed with cephalopelvic disproportion. It is a condition in which the baby’s head may not fit through the mother’s pelvis. Her doctor recommended a planned C-section to ensure the safety of both mother and child. However, her family couldn’t afford her C-section.

Azeema’s husband works as a daily wage laborer and is the sole earner for their household. He supports Azeema, his mother, and sister with his modest income of around PKR 30,000 per month. With limited income, managing household expenses was a significant challenge. Affording to pay for Azeema’s C-section was difficult for them. During this challenging situation, Azeema turned to Transparent Hands. After analyzing her medical and financial condition, we registered her case.

On September 5, 2025, Azeema Qadir was admitted to the Murshid Hospital in Karachi. Dr. Farkhanda Saeed successfully performed her planned C-section. She delivered a healthy baby girl. Her C-section went smoothly, and Azeema received essential post-operative care. She was discharged in stable condition from the hospital on September 7, 2025.
