Bringing Relief and Joy to Families with Free Ration Packs This Eid

Distributing Ration Packs Among Deserving Families During Ramadan 's Story

Transparent Hands, with the support of our generous donors, successfully distributed 14 ration packs among local low-income families of Lahore and its suburbs. The packs include essential food items, including ingredients for cooking Eid meals and sweet dishes. The distribution will benefit underprivileged families and will enable them to enjoy the last Ashra of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr with their families.

Many poor Pakistani families experience hunger and malnutrition and find it difficult to save enough to enjoy Eid al-Fitr. Initiatives like food distribution help these families participate in Eid celebrations. Transparent Hands’ ration packs included a variety of ingredients so recipients can enjoy the last fasts of Ramadan and the Eid al-Fitr celebrations. Each ration pack consists of the following items:

Sugar: 1 kg × 2

Wheat flour: 5 kg

Chickpea flour/ Baisan: 1 kg

Iodized Salt: 800 gm

Rice: 1 kg × 2

Banaspati Ghee: 1 kg

Tea: 85 gm × 2

Red Sherbet: 800 ml

Dates Aseel: 400 gm

Split chickpeas/Daal Chana:1 kg

Chickpeas/White Chana: 1 kg

Chat Masala: 100 gm

Red Chilli Powder: 100 gm

Vermicelli: 120 gm

The recipients were overjoyed at receiving these gifts. They thanked the donors and Transparent Hands for this endeavour. Expressing gratitude, some recipients said the ration packs will allow them to spend time with their families rather than at work this Eid. One of the recipients, a daily wager, said that he was getting increasingly worried about provisions for his family on Eid al-Fitr.

Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr are great occasions that bring people together and urge them to share their blessings with the less fortunate. These occasions call for compassion and kindness, reminding us to remain grateful for our blessings.

This ration pack distribution initiative helped many families experience the joys of Eid, and for that, we are grateful to our donors and supporters.
