Bushra Khatoon's Story

Bushra Khatoon, 16 years old, experienced bluish discoloration of skin on exertion since her birth. She was diagnosed as a case of single ventricle congenital heart defect. Therefore, she was operated upon in early childhood and a BDG procedure was performed. On further consultation, the doctor advised a Fontan procedure after an angiography. For this purpose, she was admitted in Ittefaq Hospital and the procedure was performed by Dr. Salman on 21.11.2020. She stayed in the hospital for eleven days and was discharged in a satisfactory condition. Bushra is regaining her strength through rest and is in good health now. The surgery was conducted with the support of Pakistan Children Heart foundation and other donors.
