Hania Ifthikhar's Story

Hania Iftikhar, a four-year-old resident of Islamabad, has been struggling with sensorineural hearing loss since birth. To enhance her hearing ability, she underwent a cochlear implant surgery conducted by Dr. Jawad Ahmad at Ali Medical Centre in Islamabad on June 16, 2022. The internal component of the implant was successfully placed behind her ear during the procedure. Hania recovered nicely and was released from the hospital after just one day of stay.

The external component of her cochlear implant will be added in six weeks, and she eagerly awaits the chance to experience all the amazing sounds around her.
