Fouzia Wajid Embraced Motherhood Safely with a C-Section
Fouzia Wajid's Story
Fouzia Wajid, a 30-year-old woman from Karachi, was anxiously approaching the end of her pregnancy. Her greatest worry was ensuring a safe delivery for her unborn child. Her first baby had been delivered through a C-section. Due to her medical history, her gynecologist advised another planned C-section to avoid serious complications. Attempting a natural delivery could put Fouzia at risk of uterine rupture, excessive bleeding, and harm to the baby. A timely C-section was essential for the safety of both mother and child.
However, the cost of the surgery was far beyond what Fouzia and her family could afford. She lives in a modest rented home with her husband and their first child. Her husband works as a teacher at a madrasa and is the sole earner for the household, bringing home only PKR 15,000 per month. This small income barely covers rent, food, and basic expenses. With rising costs and no savings, arranging money for a C-section was impossible for them. During their search of help, Fouzia contacted Transparent Hands. After reviewing her medical reports and understanding her financial hardship, her case was registered.
On October 6, 2025, Fouzia was admitted to Murshid Hospital, Karachi. On the same day, Dr. Samreen Zeeshan performed her planned C-section successfully. She gave birth to a healthy baby girl, bringing immense relief and happiness to her family. After receiving attentive post-operative care, Fouzia was discharged in stable condition on October 8, 2025.
Fouzia expressed her heartfelt appreciation in the following words:
“I am truly grateful to you for helping me receive this delivery. I was very worried because of my previous C-section and our financial situation, but your support made everything possible. My baby girl is safe, and I am recovering well. You brought comfort to a very difficult time in my life.”
Fouzia’s life has improved after the surgery. She is now healing comfortably and caring for her newborn without fear of complications. Her family is sincerely grateful to you for making it possible for her to receive essential medical care and welcome her baby safely.
