Dilhad Bibi's Story

Dilhad Bibi, a 42-year-old woman from Upper Dheer, KPK, belonged to a very poor family. Despite her financial struggles, she never lost hope and always sought ways to alleviate her chronic hip pain and swelling. After consultation with a doctor, she was diagnosed with bilateral avascular necrosis (AVN) of hip joint and advised to undergo left total hip replacement surgery. Despite her limited financial resources, Dilhad did not let her health condition deteriorate further. She approached Transparent Hands, for help.

With their support, Dilhad was able to undergo the life-changing surgery at Akbar Medical Complex on November 4th, 2022. The procedure was performed by a skilled surgeon, Dr. Khurrum Shehzad. Dilhad’s surgery was a complete success, and she was discharged from the hospital on November 6th.

Dilhad Bibi can now walk without pain and live a normal life, Dilhad’s transformation from a woman struggling with chronic hip pain to one leading a pain-free life is a true inspiration.
