Ilsa Bilawal's Story

Two-and-a-half-year-old Ilsa, a resident of Vehari, was born with a congenital cardiac defect. She had been experiencing cyanosis and breathlessness. Upon consultation, she was diagnosed with Transposition of Great Arteries with Double Inlet Left Ventricle. She underwent open-heart surgery at the age of four months with PA bending and PDA ligation to improve her health. During her follow-up visits, she was considered for the next surgery. She was advised to undergo Angiography followed by a re-do open-heart surgery for CP Shunt. Therefore, she was sent to Ittefaq Hospital and her angiography was performed on 07-04-2022 by Dr. Masood Sadiq. The report of angiography was not in favor of any further surgery. She was kept under observation for two days and discharged with medical advice.
