Iman Fatima's Story

Iman Fatima, 2.6 years old, was born with an anorectal malformation (ARM) called recto-vestibular fistula. The doctors performed a colostomy on her, when she was only 8 months old. Later, on a follow up appointment, the consultants advised another surgery to correct her deformity. For this purpose, Iman was admitted to Akram Medical Complex and her Posterior Sagittal Anorectoplasty (PSARP) was performed by Dr. M. Bilal Mirza on 22.02.2021. She stayed in the hospital for four days and was discharged in a stable condition. Iman’s post-operative recovery has been remarkable. Her parents are satisfied with her treatment regimen.
