Jawad Ahmad's Story

Jawad Ahmad, a 22-year-old man from Mardan, was suffering from extreme pain in his left hip joint for the last five years. He went to a nearby hospital and was receiving symptomatic treatment. Unfortunately, he couldn’t get cured. Upon consultation, his doctor suggested some diagnostic tests.

After evaluating his reports, the doctor diagnosed him with Osteoarthritis of the left hip joint. Patients suffering from osteoarthritis experience pain, stiffness, and swelling. It limits a person’s ability to move freely. Jawad’s doctor advised him to undergo left THR (Total Hip Replacement) surgery.

Due to his limited financial resources, Jawad could not afford the cost of his hip surgery. In this hour of need, he registered his case with Transparent Hands. Jawad Ahmad was admitted to Zia Darman Hospital Mardan. His Total Hip replacement surgery was performed by an experienced surgeon, Dr. Aiman Zia, on 14th June 2024. Jawad was hospitalized for one day and discharged on 15th June 2024.
