Laila Welcomed Her Baby Safely Through a C-section

Laila Bibi's Story

Laila Bibi, a 23-year-old woman from Mardan, was eagerly awaiting the arrival of her second child. Already a mother to a young child, she dreamed of welcoming her new baby safely into the world. However, as her delivery date approached, her concerns grew. During a routine checkup at a nearby hospital, her doctor reviewed her medical history and noted that her first child had been delivered through a C-section. Due to this, the doctor recommended an elective C-section to ensure a safe delivery. However, the cost of the C-section was overwhelming for her family.

Laila lives in a modest home with her husband, their child, and one other family member. Her husband works as a driver and earns only PKR 20,000 per month. This limited income barely covers their groceries, transportation, and utility bills. Saving anything for a much-needed C-section was impossible. As the due date approached rapidly, their fear and financial stress grew heavier by the day. During this challenging time, Laila reached out to Transparent Hands and asked for help. Moved by her plea, we registered her case.

On August 18, 2025, Laila was admitted to the Darman Medical Complex in Shergarh. On the same day, Dr. Annie Samad performed her planned C-section successfully. Laila delivered a healthy baby boy, bringing immense happiness and relief to her family. She received post-operative care in the hospital and was discharged in stable condition on August 19, 2025.

Laila expressed her joy as follows:
