Muhammad Ahmed Khan's Story
Seven years ago Muhammad Ahmad Khan, aged 52 years, a resident of Karachi suffered from a trauma on the left hip joint during a road accident. His left hip joint was replaced from Patel hospital in july 2020 with the assistance of Transparent Hands. Gradually he began experiencing severe pain in his right hip joint. Upon medical evaluation he was diagnosed to have Osteoarthritis secondary to Ankylosing spondylitis (AS). The doctors advised him, right total hip replacement surgery. For this purpose, Muhammad Ahmad Khan was admitted to Patel Hospital where his surgery was performed by Dr. Nasir Ahmed on 07.04.2021. He stayed in the hospital for four days and was discharged in a stable condition. The constant pain and discomfort that he once complained of has subsided in his joint after the surgery. In this brief time, he is now able to walk long distances and occasionally climbs stairs as well.
