Muhammad Fahad’s Heart Defect has been Corrected
Muhammad Fahad 's Story
Seven-year-old Fahad, a resident of Rawalpindi, had suffered from dyspnea, cyanosis, and frequent episodes of chest pain since birth. Upon consultation, the doctor diagnosed him with rare and critical congenital heart conditions, such as Right Ventricle Outflow Tract Obstruction (RVOTO) and Ventricular Septal Defect. His first Open-Heart Surgery for VSD closure was performed in 2016.
After some time, he complained of chest pain and shortness of breath again. His parents revisited a local hospital. After running some tests, the cardiac surgeon advised him to undergo Re-do Open Heart Surgery for RVOTO. He was admitted to Ittefaq Hospital, Lahore, where Dr. Asim performed his operation successfully on 14-11-2022.
After five days of observation and good care, he was discharged from the hospital. Fahad is in the healing phase now. This surgery was made possible with the support of the donors. Donate Today to save more children like Fahad.
