Muskan Umar's Story

Muskan Umar, aged 3 years, underwent a number of tests after she was born. These tests were conducted as she turned blue right after her birth. Her ECHO test report revealed that she had a large atrial septal defect (ASD). The cardiologist advised her an open heart surgery for ASD closure. For this purpose, Muskan Umar was admitted to the University of Lahore Teaching Hospital and her ASD closure surgery was performed by Dr. Faiz Rasool on 01.06.2021. She stayed in the hospital for three days and was discharged in a stable condition. Muskan’s condition has improved drastically post-surgery and she is much more active and energetic now.
