Nargis Embraced Motherhood Safely with a C-section

Nargis Tariq's Story

Nargis Tariq, a 28-year-old woman from Karachi, had been living with growing fear as her third pregnancy progressed. She faced significant medical risks due to her history of two previous C-sections. Her gynecologist warned her that attempting a normal delivery could lead to life-threatening complications. To protect both mother and baby, an elective C-section was strongly recommended. However, Nargis and her husband were struggling to meet even their monthly needs.

Nargis lives in a modest rented home with her husband and two children. Her husband worked as a loader in a private company, earning PKR 25,000 per month. This income is insufficient to cover their utility bills as well as food expenses. Due to their financial constraints, they couldn’t afford Nargis’s much-needed C-section. During this time of despair, Nargis reached out to Transparent Hands and asked us to register her case.

Nargis was admitted to the Murshid Hospital in Karachi on October 10, 2025. The same day, Dr. Farkhanda Saeed carefully performed her C-section. The procedure went smoothly, preventing the potential complications her doctor had warned about. She welcomed a healthy baby boy into the world. After ensuring both mother and child were stable, Nargis was discharged on 13 October 2025.

Nargis expressed her happiness as follows:

Today, Nargis feels relieved, safe, and immensely thankful. Her medical risks have been resolved, and she can now care for her children without fear of complications. Her baby boy is healthy, and her home is filled with peace instead of worry.
