Noor Fatima's Story
Noor Fatima, aged 9 years, a resident of Sheikhupura suffered from high fever with discoloration of the body. Her parents took her to the hospital and after getting her Echo test results, the doctors diagnosed her with an atrial septal defect (ASD). ASD is a hole in the wall between two upper chambers of the heart. The doctors advised ASD closure after open heart surgery. For this purpose, Noor Fatima was admitted to the University of Lahore Teaching Hospital and her ASD closure was done by Dr. Faiz Rasool on 02.08.2021. Noor Fatima was discharged in a stable condition after one day.
