Abdullah’s Open Heart Surgery was Successful

Three-year-old Muhammad Abdullah, a resident of Sheikhupura, had been suffering from shortness of breath on mild exertion, weakness, and an inability to gain weight since birth. Upon consultation, Abdullah was diagnosed with Ventricular Septal Defect. It is a congenital heart defect. The doctor advised an Open Heart surgery for the Closure of the Ventricular Septal Defect as a cure. Muhammad Abdullah’s parents could not afford the cost of this procedure. They contacted Transparent Hands and we referred them to the University of Lahore Teaching Hospital where Abdullah’s surgery was performed by Dr. Faiz Rasool on 3-01-2022. Abdullah stayed in the hospital for five days and was discharged in satisfactory condition. Muhammad Abdullah’s Heart was saved.
