Parveen Akhtar's Story

Parveen Akhter, 53 years old, suffered from backache that radiated to her legs. On medical consultation, she was diagnosed with a prolapsed intervertebral disc (PIVD) and fractured fourth lumbar vertebra (L4). The doctors recommended decompression and spinal fixation for her. For this purpose, Parveen was admitted in Akram Medical Complex and her surgery was performed by Dr. Abrarullah Khan on 04.12.2020. Her L2 and L5 transpedicular screws fixation was done for the fractured L3 and L4 vertebra. She stayed in the hospital for six days and was discharged in a satisfactory condition. Parveen is regaining her strength through rest and feels better now.
