Saima Has Recovered From Uterine Fibroids

Saima Rehmat, a 40-year-old woman from Lahore, was suffering from severe lower abdominal pain, dysmenorrhea, and heavy menstrual bleeding. Her symptoms continued to worsen, leaving her weak and unable to manage her daily responsibilities or properly care for her children. Concerned about her deteriorating health, Saima consulted a doctor. After detailed examinations and necessary investigations, she was diagnosed with Uterine Fibroids. To provide lasting relief and restore her health, her doctor recommended a Total Abdominal Hysterectomy (TAH) and Bilateral Salpingo-Oophorectomy (BSO). Unfortunately, the cost of this life-changing surgery was beyond Saima’s financial means.

Saima lives in a modest rented home in Lahore, paying a monthly rent of PKR 8,000. Her husband works as a shopkeeper and earns approximately PKR 35,000 per month. Due to their limited income, the family struggled to cover household expenses. Due to their financial hardships, they couldn’t afford Saima’s life-changing surgery. On October 31, 2025, Saima was admitted to Life Hospital in Lahore. Dr. Ayesha Javed successfully performed the Total Abdominal Hysterectomy and Bilateral Salpingo-Oophorectomy on November 1, 2025. The surgery went smoothly, and Saima received essential post-operative care. She was discharged in stable condition on November 4, 2025.
