Saira Bibi's Story

One-and-a-half-year-old Saira, a resident of Rahim Yar Khan, had been experiencing repeated episodes of high fever, chest infection, and shortness of breath since birth. Upon consultation, she was diagnosed with Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA) and Coarctation of the Aorta. The cardiologist advised open heart surgery for Coarctation Repair and PDA ligation. She was admitted to Ittefaq Hospital, Lahore, and Dr. Asim performed her surgery on 8-06-2022. She was discharged from the hospital after four days of stay.
