Samina’s right knee joint was replaced
Samina Begum's Story
Samina Begum, aged 58 years, suffered from pain in both her knee joints for the past seven years. The intensity of pain had increased with time. Her condition worsened to a point where she could no longer bear weight or walk. On medical evaluation, she was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in both knees. She was advised total knee replacement surgery for her right leg first as it was more adversely affected by the disease. For this purpose, Samina was admitted to Lahore Care Hospital and her surgery was performed by Dr. Abdul Latif Shahid on 2nd July, 2021. She stayed in the hospital for three days and was discharged in a stable condition. Samina has recovered from her surgery and she is now ready for her left knee replacement surgery.
