Faizan Ali's Story

Faizan Ali, 5 years old, had his colostomy done right after birth. Later he was diagnosed to be suffering from Hirschsprung’s disease – is a condition that affects the large intestine (colon) and causes problems with passing stool. He was advised surgery to restore the continuity of his intestine. His surgery was done on 04-09-2020 by Dr. Naeem Liaqat at Maryam Memorial Hospital. He performed Swenson’s pull through anorectoplasty. The patient remained admitted in the hospital for five days after his surgery and was discharged in good health. Faizan Ali has now resumed a normal life, just like other children his age.
