You Brought Relief to Arsalan’s Life with Implant Removal Surgery

Muhammad Arsalan, a 31-year-old man from Jaranwala, had been living with pain following a road accident nearly two years ago. The accident caused a serious fracture in his left thigh, and doctors inserted a metal implant to stabilize the bone. Although the fracture healed successfully, the implant gradually became a source of constant discomfort. Over time, he began experiencing pain and stiffness in his left thigh and lower back, making even simple movements difficult. His condition prevented him from carrying out routine activities comfortably and affected his ability to work. Arsalan consulted an orthopedic specialist for a detailed evaluation. After examining his condition and reviewing the necessary investigations, the doctor advised the removal of the implant (ROI) from his left femur. Affording the surgery was beyond Arsalan’s family’s financial means.

Due to his physical condition, he was no longer able to work and had become financially dependent on his father and brother-in-law. Both work as daily wage laborers and together they earn approximately PKR 60,000 per month. Their combined income is used to meet the needs of the entire household, leaving no savings for Arsalan’s surgery. Hoping to regain a normal life, Arsalan reached out to Transparent Hands for help. Moved by his plea, we registered his case.

On May 23, 2026, Arsalan was admitted to the PSRD Hospital in Lahore. His implant removal surgery was successfully performed by Dr. Saleem Bashir. After receiving post-operative care and observation, he was discharged in stable condition on May 25, 2026.
