You Changed Sajjad’s Life Through Cholecystectomy

Raja Sajjad Hussain's Story

Raja Sajjad Hussain, a 38-year-old man from Rawalpindi, had been suffering from pain in his upper right abdominal region for several months. The episodes of discomfort were often accompanied by nausea and vomiting, making even simple daily routines difficult for him. Realizing the increasing severity of his symptoms, Sajjad visited a local hospital for a detailed evaluation. After undergoing essential diagnostic tests and a thorough clinical assessment, the doctor diagnosed him with Cholelithiasis. To alleviate his symptoms and prevent future complications such as infection or obstruction of the bile ducts, his doctor recommended a Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy.

However, Sajjad’s financial circumstances made it nearly impossible for him to arrange the cost of surgery. He lives in a modest home with his wife and is the only earning member of the family. His monthly income of PKR 35,000 barely supports their utility bills, food expenses, and other basic needs. Saving anything for healthcare was beyond their reach. On September 16, 2025, Sajjad was admitted to Rawal General and Dental Hospital in Islamabad. The following day, Dr. Ihtisham Muhammad successfully performed his Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy. The surgeon removed the gallbladder safely. Sajjad recovered under careful monitoring and received instructions for rest and diet. He was discharged in stable condition on September 18, 2025.
