You Eased Warda’s Suffering with Lipoma Excision Surgery

Warda Farhan's Story

Warda Farhan, a 13-year-old girl from Lahore, had been living with a painful lump in her left axilla for the past year. Over time, the swelling increased in size, causing discomfort and making it difficult for her to perform daily tasks. This condition badly affected her quality of life and limited her ability to engage in normal activities. Concerned about her well-being, Warda’s parents took her to a local hospital for evaluation. After conducting the necessary diagnostic tests, the doctor diagnosed her with a left-sided Axillary Lipoma. To relieve her pain, the doctor advised excision of the lipoma under general anesthesia. Unfortunately, the cost of this procedure was beyond the family’s financial capacity.

Warda lives in a modest home with her parents and two siblings. Her father, the sole breadwinner, works as a machine operator and earns PKR 30,000 per month. This income was insufficient to cover their household expenses. Affording to pay for Warda’s surgery was impossible for them. During this difficult period, Warda’s family reached out to Transparent Hands for support. After understanding their situation, her case was registered.

On November 12, 2025, Warda was admitted to Evercare Hospital in Lahore. Dr. Ahmed Fawad successfully performed the excision of the left-sided axillary lipoma. The procedure went smoothly, and Warda was closely monitored for post-operative care. She was discharged in stable condition on November 13, 2025.
