You Ensured Rehana’s Safe C-Section

Rehana Bibi's Story

Rehana Bibi, a 34-year-old woman from Baldia Town, Karachi, had to face an emotionally difficult time during her pregnancy. She had already undergone two C-sections for childbirth. During the recent pregnancy, her gynecologist advised another C-section to prevent serious complications such as uterine rupture and fetal distress. The procedure was necessary for the safety of the mother and the expected child. However, Rehana and her family did not have the means to afford the surgical expenses.

Her husband works as a laborer and earns a monthly income of only PKR 25,000, which hardly covers the family’s basic needs. He is the sole breadwinner in a family of four. Her family lives in a rented house with a monthly rent of PKR 4,000. They have to pay PKR 2,000 for utility bills. They have two school-going children with monthly educational fees of PKR 3,000. With ever-growing expenses and no savings, arranging money for Rehana’s delivery was not possible for her husband. During this challenging time, she learned about Transparent Hands and reached out to us for support, and we registered her case.

Rehana was admitted to Murshid Hospital & Health Care Centre in Karachi on 18-11-2025. Dr. Farkhanda Saeed successfully performed her planned C-section. The surgery prevented a life-threatening situation for the mother and the child. Rehana delivered a healthy baby, which brought relief and joy to her family. She received postoperative care and was discharged in stable condition on 21-11-2025.

Rehana expressed her gratitude to all the donors. She said:
