You Healed Meher’s Heart by Supporting His Cardiac Surgery
Meher Allah Bakhsh's Story
Meher Allah Bakhsh, a 60-year-old man from Layyah, was experiencing repeated episodes of chest pain and breathlessness. Along with these symptoms, he often experienced severe weakness and dizziness, which made even simple daily activities challenging. Concerned about his health, Meher visited a nearby hospital for medical consultation. After a detailed clinical examination and necessary diagnostic tests, the doctor diagnosed him with severe aortic stenosis. It is a serious heart condition in which the aortic valve narrows, restricting blood flow from the heart to the rest of the body. Given the severity of his condition, the doctor recommended aortic valve replacement surgery.
Unfortunately, the cost of this complex heart surgery was far beyond Meher’s financial capacity. He lives in a modest home with his wife, two children, and other family members. Meher is currently unemployed due to his fragile health. His son, the sole earning member of the household, works as an IT administrator at a university and earns only PKR 45,000 per month. This income barely meets the family’s basic living expenses. Arranging money for such an expensive surgery was impossible for the family. During this critical time, Meher and his family reached out to Transparent Hands for help. After carefully reviewing his medical reports and financial situation, we registered his case.
On December 2, 2025, Meher was admitted to the Rawal General & Dental Hospital in Islamabad. Dr. Mehwish Zahoor successfully performed the aortic valve replacement surgery. The procedure was completed smoothly, and Meher was kept under close post-operative observation in the cardiac intensive care unit. After his full recovery, he was discharged in stable condition on December 8, 2025.
Meher shared his feelings in the following words:
“Before surgery, every day felt uncertain and painful. After the surgery, I feel relieved. Your support saved my life and gave me strength and a chance to live without constant suffering. I will always be grateful for this kindness.”
Today, Meher is recovering steadily and regaining his strength. His family is deeply thankful to you for saving his life and making a valuable difference in his life.
