You Healed Saim’s Heart Through Surgery

Muhammad Saim, a 4-month-old baby boy from Kot Muzaffar, Vehari, had been struggling with shortness of breath and chest discomfort since birth. Simple activities like running or playing with friends left him exhausted and gasping for air. Concerned about his condition, his parents took him to a local hospital, where a doctor conducted a detailed evaluation. After thorough examinations and tests, Saim was diagnosed with Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD) and Pulmonary Hypertension (PHT). The doctor recommended open-heart surgery for VSD closure to correct the defects and improve his heart function.

However, Saim’s family could not afford the expensive procedure. Saim lives in a modest home with his parents and two siblings. His father, the sole breadwinner of the family, works as a laborer and earns only PKR 30,000 per month. This income is barely enough to cover household expenses. Affording to pay for Saim’s heart surgery was impossible for them. Faced with financial constraints, Saim’s parents reached out to Transparent Hands for support, and his case was registered.

On October 15, 2025, Saim was admitted to Ittefaq Hospital, Lahore. On October 16, 2025, his open-heart surgery was successfully performed by Dr. Asim Khan. Post-operative care was provided, and Saim was discharged in stable condition on October 20, 2025.

Saim’s parents shared their gratitude as follows:

Today, Saim’s health has improved. His family is immensely thankful for your support, which has changed Saim’s life, giving him a healthy childhood filled with joyful moments.
