Ahsan Hassan's Story

Ahsan Hassan, a 15-year-old boy from Okara, had been suffering from pain in his flank and lower abdomen for a long time. The pain occurred in repeated episodes and was often accompanied by nausea, vomiting, and extreme discomfort. He also experienced frequent urination, which made his condition even more challenging. Concerned about his worsening health, his family took him to a doctor for a detailed medical evaluation. After conducting examinations and diagnostic tests, the doctor diagnosed him with right renal calculi, commonly known as kidney stones. To accurately locate the stones and assess the extent of the condition, the doctor advised a Computed Tomography of Kidneys, Ureters, and Bladder (CT KUB).

Ahsan belongs to a financially struggling family of seven members. His father is sick and unable to work. His elder brother works as a laborer and earns only PKR 50,000 per month. This meager income barely covers their food, and household expenses. Due to their financial hardships, saving money for the much-needed diagnostic procedure was extremely difficult for them. During this stressful time, Ahsan’s family reached out to Transparent Hands. After reviewing his medical reports and financial condition, we registered his case.

On March 31, 2026, Ahsan was admitted to the Central Park Teaching Hospital in Lahore. On April 1, 2026. The diagnostic procedure was successfully completed under the supervision of Dr. Rana Iqbal. The CT KUB report revealed multiple calculi in the right renal pelvis, middle, and lower poles, including staghorn-type stones, causing marked hydronephrosis. The largest stone measured 17 × 13 mm, and additional stones were also identified in the mid and lower pole regions. The findings indicated that Ahsan required timely treatment to avoid further kidney damage and serious complications. On April 2, 2026, Ahsan was discharged from the hospital with follow up advise.

Ahsan’s brother shared his feelings as follows:

“Your support brought us hope during a very difficult time. I am thankful to you for helping my brother undergo a much-needed diagnostic test.”

Ahsan’s family is deeply grateful to you for supporting him in this crucial phase of treatment and giving them hope for his recovery.
