You Helped Uzair Survive Through a Cardiac Surgery
Muhammad Uzair's Story
Muhammad Uzair, a 2-year-old boy from Sargodha, had been facing serious health challenges since birth. His parents noticed that even minor activities left him weak and exhausted. At times, his skin would turn slightly blue due to low oxygen levels. Worried about his condition, his parents took him to a doctor for a detailed evaluation. After undergoing thorough diagnostic tests, Uzair was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot. This is a congenital cadiac condition which involves complex abnormalities. These abnormalities severely affect blood flow and oxygen delivery throughout the body. To correct the defects in his heart, the doctor recommended open-heart surgery for total correction. However, the cost of the surgery was beyond his family’s means.
Uzair lives with his parents and three siblings in a rented home. His father repairs refrigerators and air conditioners, earning only PKR 30,000 per month. With this meager income, they struggled to cover their house rent, utility bills, and food expenses. Due to their financial constraints, affording to pay for Uzair’s heart surgery was challenging for them. With hope in their hearts, the family turned to Transparent Hands. Recognizing the gravity of his condition, we swiftly registered his case.
On September 12, 2025, Uzair was admitted to the University of Lahore Teaching Hospital. On September 13, 2025, Dr. Faiz Rasool successfully performed his open-heart surgery for total correction. Uzair received essential post-operative care in the ICU and was discharged in satisfactory condition on September 17, 2025.
Uzair’s parents expressed their joy as follows:
“Words would be less to describe how grateful we are. Our son is no longer facing the complications that he faced once. He is able to breathe freely. All this change in his life was made possible because of your generous support. We are incredibly grateful to you for contributing to our son’s surgery.”
Uzair can now play and breathe comfortably. He is now recovering well. His family is immensely thankful to you and the PCHF for bringing a valuable difference in Uzair’s life.
