You Improved Abdul’s Quality of Life with Cholecystectomy

Abdul Razak's Story

Abdul Razak, a 24-year-old man from Lahore, had been suffering from pain in the upper right side of his abdomen for a long time. Along with continuous discomfort, he frequently experienced nausea and indigestion, particularly after eating fatty meals. These symptoms gradually worsened, making it difficult for him to focus on work or manage routine responsibilities. Concerned about his declining health, Abdul Razak consulted a doctor who carried out a detailed clinical examination and an ultrasound scan. Abdul Razak was diagnosed with Gallstones. To relieve his pain and prevent further health risks, the doctor advised a laparoscopic cholecystectomy.

However, Abdul Razak could not afford the cost of surgery. He lives in a rented house in Lahore with his wife, one child, and four other family members. Abdul Razak works as a gardener and earns PKR 25,000 per month. His father, a laborer, contributes PKR 15,000, bringing the household income to PKR 40,000. This limited income barely covers rent, food, and utilities, leaving no room for expensive medical treatment. During this difficult situation, Abdul Razak approached Transparent Hands for support, and his case was registered.

On December 8, 2025, Abdul Razak was admitted to Evercare Hospital, Lahore. Dr. Ahmed Fawad successfully performed a laparoscopic cholecystectomy. The surgery was completed smoothly, and Abdul Razak was kept under close post-operative observation. He was discharged in stable condition on December 9, 2025.

Abdul Razak shared his feelings in the following words:
“The constant pain and sickness had taken away my strength and confidence. After the surgery, I feel healthier and hopeful again. I can work without fear, and eat without pain. I am deeply thankful to you for making my treatment possible.”

Today, Abdul Razak is recovering well and has resumed his daily activities without discomfort. His quality of life has improved significantly. He and his loved ones are deeply grateful to you for restoring his health and giving him a chance to live a pain-free life again.
