You Relieved Younas’ Pain with Timely Hernioplasty

Muhammad Younas's Story

Muhammad Younas, a 72-year-old man from Rawalpindi, was suffering from a painful lump in his right groin region. Initially, the swelling was small and manageable, but it gradually increased in size and became more painful with each passing day. Simple activities such as sitting, standing for long periods, and walking caused discomfort. As the pain worsened, Younas grew increasingly concerned about his health. He finally decided to visit a local hospital, where a doctor conducted a detailed physical examination. After a thorough evaluation, Younas was diagnosed with a right-sided inguinal hernia. This condition occurs when internal tissue pushes through a weak area in the abdominal muscles. To relieve his pain and prevent further health risks, the doctor advised a right-sided mesh hernioplasty.

Unfortunately, Younas could not afford the cost of surgery. He lives in a rented home with his wife and two children. Younas works as a daily wage laborer and earns only PKR 13,000 per month. His meager income barely covers basic necessities such as rent, food, and utilities. Due to their financial hardships, they couldn’t afford Younas’s surgery. During this difficult period, Younas approached Transparent Hands for assistance. After reviewing his medical reports and financial situation, his case was registered.

On November 26, 2025, Younas was admitted to the Maryam Memorial Hospital in Rawalpindi. Dr. Muhammad Aslam successfully performed the right-sided mesh hernioplasty. The surgery was completed smoothly. He was discharged in stable condition on November 28, 2025.
