Jannat Sajid Ali's Story

Jannat Sajid Ali, an 8-year-old girl from Matiari, Sindh, had been living with a vision problem since birth that made life challenging for her. She suffered from double vision and a noticeable squint in both eyes, with her right eye being more severely affected. Everyday activities such as reading, walking, focusing on her studies, and playing with friends became difficult for little Jannat. Deeply worried about her future, her family took her to a local hospital for medical consultation. After a detailed eye examination, the doctors diagnosed her with Right Esotropia, a condition in which the eye turns inward toward the nose. To correct her vision and prevent further deterioration, the doctors advised right eye squint surgery.

Jannat’s family struggled financially. Her father holds a private job and earns nearly PKR 30,000 per month, which is barely enough to support the family’s basic needs. As the sole earning member, he worked hard to provide for Jannat and her two younger sisters, who were both studying in a government school. Most of his income was consumed by grocery expenses, utility bills, and household necessities, leaving no possibility of arranging money for Jannat’s surgery. Watching their daughter’s condition worsen while being unable to afford treatment left the family feeling helpless and distressed. During this difficult time, they reached out to Transparent Hands for support. After reviewing Jannat’s medical reports and understanding the family’s financial hardships, Transparent Hands registered her case for treatment.

On April 14, 2026, Jannat’s right eye squint surgery was performed at the Isra University Welfare Hospital in Hyderabad by Dr. Asif Kazi. The surgery corrected the alignment of her eye and gave her a chance to see the world more clearly and confidently.

Speaking with gratitude after her daughter’s successful surgery, Jannat’s mother shared:
“It was painful to see my daughter struggle every day because of her eyesight. We could not afford the surgery, and we feared her condition would become permanent. After the operation, we can already see improvement in her eyes and confidence. Your support has changed her life, and we are sincerely thankful for this kindness.”

Jannat is now recovering happily and enjoying her childhood with new confidence and comfort.

Her family is deeply grateful to you for helping brighten their daughter’s future and giving her hope for a healthier life.
