Your Kindness Helped Iram Deliver Her Baby Safely with a C-Section

Iram Shahzadi's Story

Iram Shahzadi, a 28-year-old woman from Multan, was looking forward to welcoming her second child. As her pregnancy progressed, regular medical checkups revealed that she required special care. Since Iram had previously delivered her first child through a C-section, her current pregnancy was considered high-risk. Because of her medical history, attempting a normal delivery could have resulted in serious complications, including uterine rupture, excessive bleeding, and danger to her unborn baby. To ensure the safety of both the mother and child, the doctor recommended C-section.

Unfortunately, the cost of the surgery was beyond Iram’s family’s financial means. She is a housewife and lives in a modest home with her husband and their young child. Her husband serves as an Imam and earns only PKR 20,000 per month. His modest income is spent on food, utility bills, and other essential household expenses, leaving no savings to cover the cost of the delivery. Determined to give their baby a safe start in life, the family reached out to Transparent Hands. After reviewing Iram’s medical reports and assessing the family’s financial condition, her case was registered.

On May 30, 2026, Iram was admitted to the Bakhtawar Amin Memorial Hospital in Multan. Her C-section was successfully performed by Dr. Maria Khan on June 2, 2026. The procedure was completed smoothly, and Iram safely gave birth to a healthy baby boy. After receiving post-operative care and observation, both mother and baby remained in stable condition. Iram was discharged from the hospital on June 3, 2026.

Expressing her happiness, Iram shared:

“Throughout my pregnancy, I worried about how we would afford the C-section that was necessary for the safe birth of my baby. My husband’s income was only enough to meet our family’s basic needs, and saving the cost of the C-section was impossible. l am grateful for your generous support.”

Today, Iram is recovering well and enjoying every precious moment with her newborn son. Both mother and baby are healthy, bringing immense joy to their family.
