Zaheer’s Pain Has Been Relieved with Your Support for His Hernioplasty
Zaheer Uddin's Story
Zaheer Uddin, a 42-year-old man from Badin, Sindh, had been living with a painful lump in his right groin for two years. As time passed, even the simplest movements became difficult. Walking, sitting for long periods, and carrying out routine activities caused pain, making it increasingly challenging for him to manage daily life with comfort. Concerned about his worsening condition, Zaheer visited a local hospital for an evaluation. After undergoing the necessary investigations, the doctor diagnosed him with a right-sided inguinal hernia. Due to the risk of further complications, the doctor recommended mesh hernioplasty to repair the weakened abdominal wall and relieve his pain.
Zaheer has been unemployed for the past two years and lives with a hearing impairment, which has made finding stable work extremely difficult. He shares a modest home with his brother, who also has a hearing impairment and frequently struggles with illness, along with their mother and sister. With no earning member in the household, the family depends entirely on small contributions from relatives, which total only PKR 8,000 per month. Due to their financial constraints, they couldn’t afford Zaheer’s surgery. In search of a solution, Zaheer’s family approached Transparent Hands. After evaluating his medical reports and financial circumstances, his case was registered.
On June 12, 2026, Zaheer was admitted to the Isra University Welfare Hospital in Hyderabad. His mesh hernioplasty was successfully performed by Dr. Shahzad Soomro. The procedure repaired the hernia that had been causing him constant pain and discomfort. After receiving post-operative care and remaining under observation, he was discharged in stable condition on June 13, 2026.
Zaheer family expressed their gratitude as follows:
“Watching Zaheer live with constant pain was very difficult for us. With no source of income, we had no way to arrange the surgery. Your generosity gave him the opportunity to receive treatment and find relief from a condition that had affected his life for so long. We are deeply grateful for your generous support.”
Today, Zaheer is recovering well and gradually returning to his daily routine with greater comfort.
Your generosity has given him the chance to look towards the future with new confidence and hope.
