Zuhair’s cardiac surgery was performed
Muhammad Zubair's Story
Muhammad Zuhair, four years old, was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect called Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF). The doctor recommended an open heart surgery for TOF repair. For this purpose, Zuhair was admitted in University of Lahore Teaching hospital and the surgery was performed by Dr. Salman Ahmed Shah on 26.11.2020. He stayed in the hospital for five days and was discharged in a stable condition. Zuhair is well on his way to a complete recovery. The surgery was conducted with the support of Pakistan Children Heart foundation and other donors.
“Zuhair is such an active child. He is able to play around like he always wanted to since he had the surgery. Exertion does not exhaust him now. The surgery was instrumental in improvement of his health.”– Zuhair’s mother
