Assist Zain in Discovering the World of Sounds
Muhammad Zain Ul Abideen's Story
Muhammad Zain-ul-Abideen, a 4-year-old boy from Lahore, has been living in a silent world since birth. At his age, when most children learn to speak new words, Zain is confined to his small quiet world. Zain avoids playing with kids as he faces difficulty in listening and communicating with them, leaving him in a constant state of isolation and frustration. His parents took him to a local hospital and consulted a doctor. After running some medical tests, the doctor diagnosed Zain with congenital sensorineural hearing loss (SNHL) and recommended cochlear implant surgery. Unfortunately, the surgical cost is beyond his family’s financial capacity.
Zain’s condition has taken a toll on his emotional well-being and he avoids participating in social gatherings. If he doesn’t undergo the surgery on time, he might not be able to develop the ability to hear and speak. The sooner Zain receives the cochlear implant, the better his chances of speech and language development which are essential at his age.
Zain lives in a modest house with his seven family members. He has three siblings who are young and studying. His father is a police employee and his income fulfills their basic needs only, such as utility bills, educational expenses as well as groceries. Zain’s family knows that without this much-needed surgery, his future will remain uncertain. However, their financial constraints make it impossible for them to pay for his surgery. During this challenging time, Zain’s family contacted us and asked for assistance.
Zain’s parents expressed their plea as follows:
“Every day without the ability to hear is a challenge for our child. The cochlear implant surgery can change his life, but the surgery is simply too expensive for us. We are asking for help from you to support us in giving our child the chance to hear and communicate.”
Every child has the right to communicate, learn, and connect with others. A cochlear implant can open up a world of sounds for Zain, but financial limitations are standing in his way to recovery.
Let’s unite to support Zain, and enable him to hear his loved ones. Your donations can fill his silent world with marvelous sounds.

Muhammad Zain Ul Abideen's Story
Zain ul Abideen, a 4-year-old boy from Lahore, had lived in silence since birth. He was confined to his small and quiet world while his friends continued to reach multiple milestones in their lives. Zain often stayed silent and avoided interaction with others. His parents took him to a local hospital and received a consultation from a doctor, who conducted some medical tests and diagnosed Zain with congenital Sensorineural Hearing Loss (SNHL). To provide him with the ability to hear and speak, the doctor advised cochlear implant surgery. Unfortunately, the surgical cost was overwhelming for Zain’s family.
Zain lived in a small house with his seven family members. His father worked as a police employee and his income just covered their basic needs. With the surgery costing far more than what they could afford, Zain’s parents were heartbroken. Desperate to help their son, they turned to Transparent Hands for support. After assessing their situation, Transparent Hands quickly registered Zain’s case.
On 14th November 2024, Zain was admitted to Evercare Hospital, Lahore, where Dr. Imran Saeed successfully implanted the internal component of the cochlear device. Zain received proper post-operative care and was discharged in satisfactory condition on 15th November 2024.
Six weeks later, the external component of the cochlear implant was installed, marking the start of Zain’s journey into the world of sounds. To fully learn language and communication skills, Zain now attends speech therapy sessions.
Zain’s parents were overjoyed and they said: “We were losing hope, but your support came at the perfect time. Zain can now hear and will soon learn to speak like other children. Words cannot express how thankful we are.”
This life-changing surgery has given Zain the chance to experience the world in a new way. He can now interact with his family, play with his siblings, and grow with endless possibilities ahead. Zain’s family is overjoyed and they are deeply grateful to you for supporting them during their time of need.
