Ahmed Musa's Story
“We are very upset about our child because he has been facing difficulties since the time he came to this world. Most upsetting of all is our incapability to get his treatment started due to insufficient resources and meagre income”- Musa’s Father
Muhammad Musa has been facing ‘Anorectal Malformation’ since his birth. He underwent his first colostomy surgery at the age of 2 at a local hospital. Doctor recommended his parents to prepare Musa for two more surgeries until his defect is completely repaired. His parents contacted hospital many times, but they didn’t give them time for his second surgery.
Musa’s father works in a factory as a laborer and hardly earns 15,000 PKR a month. In this total monthly income, he oversees the responsibility of his parents, wife and two children, one of which needs an immediate medical assistance before it gets worse. Musa is unable to grow into a healthy child like his siblings due to his disease. Other kids refuse to play with him due to bad odor coming out of his stoma bag.
After being refused from a number of hospitals, Musa’s father heard about Transparent Hands and immediately came here for help. Doctors at Transparent Hands assisted him and started his medical procedure after confirming his medical state. His Posterior Sagittal Anorectoplasty (PSARP) was done in Akram Medical Complex. Now he has recovered and completely fit to undergo “Colostomy Closure”.
You’ve helped this child once, we request you to help him again. Donate for his surgery and bring him back to healthy life!

Ahmed Musa's Story
Ahmed Musa 1 ½ years old boy was suffering from Anorectal Malformation (ARM) resulting in absent back passage. When he was only 2 days old, his emergency colostomy was done to make a temporary passage for stools. When he turned one, his second surgery (Posterior Sagittal Anorectoplasty) was done to construct his back passage at the normal site through Transparent Hands. Now, his third and last surgery (Colostomy Closure) was done in Akram Medical Complex on 13-09-19 by Dr. Naveed Haider and his colostomy was closed to restore his intestinal continuity. He stayed for three days in hospital after surgery and recovered well. He was discharged in good health.
