Twelve years ago, Abdul Hafeez sustained trauma to his hip joints in a horrible roadside accident. They took him to a hospital for emergency management. After check up and X-rays, Hafeez was diagnosed with a neck of femur fracture. Due to the limited resources, Abdul Hafeez could not arrange the treatment. Abdul Hafeez has been living with this pain for twelve years. Over time, the situation worsened. Therefore, now, Hafeez is unable to walk without support.
Now, the only option to treat his condition is a total hip replacement surgery for his right leg. It is a surgery to replace the damaged hip joint. During the process, the surgeon replaces the old joint with an artificial joint (prosthesis). Unfortunately, Hafeez cannot afford the hefty cost of a Hip Replacement surgery. Due to his deteriorated health, Abdul Hafeez has been unemployed for a while. Therefore, he is in no position to arrange his own surgery. He told us:
“It seems that life has just been a series of unfortunate incidents. The accident has left me unable to walk or get up without any help. I am in a miserable condition right now. Please help me.”

Abdul Hafeez's Story
Abdul Hafeez, a 39-year-old resident of Sanghar, had been suffering from a neglected hip fracture of both sides and swelling for the last 12 years. Upon consultation, he was diagnosed with a neck of femur fracture. Abdul Hafeez was advised to undergo a right Total Hip Replacement. For this purpose, he was sent to United Hospital to get his surgery done by Dr. Nouman Memon on 25-01-2022. He stayed in the hospital for five days and was discharged in satisfactory condition.
