Fate has not been kind to Naseem Mai. Before you dive into Naseem Mai’s tale of woes, we want you to know that you can help us relieve her pain. Therefore, we request that you please donate for Naseem’s hip replacement as much as you can.

Three years ago, Forty-two years old Naseem Mai accidentally slipped and suffered from a terrible fall. As a result, she sustained a fracture in the neck of the femur of her left leg. A fractured neck of the femur is a serious injury. It occurs when the top part of the femur (leg bone) is broken, just below the ball and socket joint. It is likely to be life-changing and, for some people, life-threatening.

Therefore, to treat this condition, the doctor has advised Naseem Mai to undergo hip replacement surgery for her left leg. In this surgery, the doctor will replace the fractured hip bone with a prosthetic implant. While this surgery has proven to be effective, it is in no way an affordable procedure for Naseem Mai. Naseem’s husband works as a laborer on daily wages and hardly manages to earn PKR 400 per day. With this income, he is hardly able to keep his household running. Therefore, he is in no position to arrange his wife’s surgery. Naseem told us:

“When the doctor told me that I need to undergo surgery, my youngest son left school and started working to raise money. It broke me.”

Naseem Mai's Story

Naseem Mai, A forty-two years old lady living in MuzaffarGarh endured a mishap where she fell down and broke her leg. She had been enduring great discomfort and enormous pain since then. She could not get proper treatment. After the consultation, she was diagnosed with a non healing femoral neck fracture of the left leg. After the diagnosis, she was advised to undergo left total hip replacement. Therefore, she was admitted to Bakhtawar Amin Memorial Hospital where her procedure was carried out by Dr. Adeel Razzaque on 06-09-21. She was kept at the hospital for 4 days. After swift post-surgery recovery, Naseem Mai was discharged in a stable condition. Naseem Bibi is now on her road to recovery and is looking forward to a healthy life.
