Paghunda Bibi's Story

Firstly, let us tell you that Paghunda is in immense pain right now. Your little support can go a long way. Please donate for Paghunda Bibi’s tonsillectomy. The name Paghunda stems from Pashto origin. It means ‘cotton’ or something as soft as a cotton’s touch. Seeing the soft cheeks of their newborn baby, her parents named her Paghunda. Little did they know that she will have a fair share of thorny patches.

Paghunda Bibi suffers from a sore throat, difficulty swallowing and recurrent fevers. At first, the condition was mild. But, now, Paghunda cannot swallow her saliva without wincing. At last, her parents took her to the hospital. Upon thorough checkup, the doctor diagnosed her with Chronic Tonsillitis. Chronic tonsillitis is a persistent infection of the tonsils.

Consequently, the doctor has advised her to undergo a Tonsillectomy as soon as possible. Tonsillectomy is a surgical procedure in which the doctor will remove her tonsils. Therefore, we urge you to donate for Paghunda Bibi’s Tonsillectomy.

Paghunda Bibi’s father is a cancer patient. All of his savings are being spent in his own treatment. Therefore, the responsibility falls on the meek shoulders of Paghunda’s elder brother. His income is barely enough to keep the household running. He cannot bear the hefty cost of his sister’s surgery.

“My younger sister was the calmest child. Even when she was little, she never cried like other kids. Now, due to the immensity of pain, she cries a lot. I do not have the heart to hear her cries. Please help us and donate for Paghunda Bibi’s tonsillectomy.” -Paghunda Bibi’s brother.

Through her doctor’s help, Paghunda’s brother has registered her case with us. We are determined to get her out of her misery. However, it is only possible through your help.
