Abdul Waris's Story

Tragedy never comes alone, it always brings its consequences with it which are often far worse than the tragedy itself. We request you to please donate to Abdul’s knee surgery and help him get rid of this pain.

34 years old Abdul Waris met a horrific road accident a year ago in which he sustained blunt trauma to his left knee. The blunt trauma locked Abdul Waris’s knee joint. Now he feels immense pain upon even the mildest activity. After thorough checkup and an MRI, the doctor diagnosed Abdul Waris with an ACL and meniscus injury. An ACL injury is a tear of the anterior cruciate ligament which is one of the major ligaments that supports your knee whereas a meniscus injury is a tear in the cartilage that cushions the knee joint.

To treat this knee injury, the doctor has advised an Arthroscopic ACL reconstruction in which the torn ligament is repaired to stabilize the knee e and give it full range of motion again.

Abdul Waris used to work as a farmer on his landlord’s land but after his accident, he is unable to get himself off the bed let alone go to work and break some sweat. With a family of four to raise, he has been running his household on relatives’ help and debt ever since his accident. In these pitiable financial circumstances, he is in no position to bear the cost of his treatment. Therefore, we request you to please donate to Abdul’s knee surgery and help him get rid of this pain.

“I still regret the day I decided to go out of town to meet my friend. These cities and their roads are lethal. They don’t care about anyone, one accident and now my whole life has gone on crutches. Help me get me back on my feet, my kids are on the verge of dying from hunger.” -Abdul Waris

Abdul Waris reached out to Transparent Hands to request urgent assistance. His gut-wrenching story touched our hearts and we want to get him back on his feet in no time. But we need your kind financial help for that. Please reach out and donate to Abdul’s knee surgery and help him get rid of this pain.

Abdul Waris's Story

Abdul Waris, 34 years, a resident of Mardan met a horrific road accident a year ago in which he sustained blunt trauma to his left knee. After a thorough checkup and an MRI, the doctor diagnosed him with an ACL and meniscus injury. An ACL injury is a tear of the anterior cruciate ligament which is one of the major ligaments that support your knee whereas a meniscus injury is a tear in the cartilage that cushions the knee joint. For treatment, his doctor advised left ACL reconstruction.

For this purpose, Abdul Waris was admitted to the Northwest General Hospital & Research Center, where the surgery was carried out by Dr. Khushnood Ali Baz on 24.02.2021. He was discharged from the hospital in satisfactory condition after two days of stay. As a result of this surgery, Abdul Waris will now hopefully regain full range of knee movements again.
