Donate to Azhar Iqbal for His Leg Fixation
Azhar Iqbal's Story
Azhar Iqbal, 31 years old, suffered an accident while returning home from a shop a few days ago, which resulted in an injury on his left leg. He was rushed to the hospital by his neighbor and his preliminary tests were done. The X-ray result showed that his left leg sustained a fracture. He did not opt for treatment by the hospital due to financial reasons and instead sought help from a local practitioner in his village, but did not get better. As of now, Azhar’s leg is in constant pain due to infection and cannot bear weight. He requires an external fixator on his left tibia in order to heal the fracture and walk again.
Azhar does not have a permanent job to rely on; he finds work occasionally and earns only around 5000 PKR/month. His parents passed away some time ago and all of his five siblings are married. Azhar lives with one of his brothers and his family. His brother partially supports him, but with a salary of only 10,000 PKR/month to account for all the expenses, he cannot afford to pay for Azhar’s surgery.
“Most of the charitable hospitals are burdened with the rush of corona patients and it would be next to impossible for me to find an appointment. My financial statements clearly show that there is no possible way I can pay for this operation on my own. Just the admission fee of these hospitals is outrageous. My only hope is finding help through this organization.” – Azhar Iqbal
With a contribution from each one of us, Azhar’s fixation surgery can be arranged for at a good facility. If you wish to help him, please send in your donations today.
Please Note: In certain situations, we proceed with the patient's surgery/medical procedure despite incomplete funding displayed on the website. Following the surgery/medical procedure, we persist in collecting funds and maintain the campaign on the website until funding is secured in full. Hospitals have granted us a grace period for bill payment.
