Hameeda Bibi's Story
Hameeda Bibi, 56 years old, is suffering from symptomatic gallstones for the last one year. She feels intense pain in the upper right part of her abdomen, which gradually extends to her upper back. She is unable to eat properly because of poor digestion, nausea, and vomiting. Hameeda went to a local hospital for treatment but her condition didn’t improve. In the past six months, her symptoms have only gotten worse. Now, the doctors have recommended her a laparoscopic cholecystectomy to remove her gallbladder for permanent relief.
Hameeda Bibi lost her husband in an accident 30 years ago. For a long time, she worked to support herself and her two sons. Now, due to old age, she does not work anymore and is dependent on her sons. Her elder son works at an AC shop and her younger son is a laborer. Both earn meager incomes with which they meet the needs of their own families as well as their mother. Hameeda’s sons are unable to cover the expenses of her surgery.
In this moment of need, they have approached Transparent Hands to ask for help for their mother.
“For as long as I can remember, she has been supporting us single-handedly. My father passed away when we were little. We didn’t have many relatives to help out either. Our mother looked after us and protected us like a shield. Now, we need to protect her. We need to ease her pain and for that, we need urgent help.”- Hameeda’s younger son.
Please donate to Hameeda so she can have her surgery at the earliest.
Please Note: In certain situations, we proceed with the patient's surgery/medical procedure despite incomplete funding displayed on the website.
