Haseena Anwar is a 27 years old young girl who is the sole breadwinner of her family of 11 members. She earns a meager income by working as a nurse but unfortunately, she is unable to afford her own treatment.

Around two months ago, while working, Haseena complained of sharp pain around her anal area along with rectal bleeding which didn’t even let her move. After undergoing a checkup and some tests, she was diagnosed with Chronic Anal Fissure – a small tear in the thin, moist tissue (mucosa) that lines the anus. Anal fissures typically cause pain and bleeding with bowel movements.

The doctor has advised her to undergo surgery to treat this disease as soon as possible otherwise it could affect her overall health. Haseena’s poor financial condition doesn’t allow her to get the required treatment from any hospital. She has lived two months in severe pain while requesting several hospitals and NGOs for help but nothing worked out in her favor. Luckily, one of her colleagues referred her to Transparent Hands and she immediately contacted for her surgical treatment.

Haseena has a lot to look forward to – working and giving her family a better life but all of it looks like a distant dream as she is unable to work anymore due to her condition

Haseena Anwar's Story

Haseena Anwar 27 years old lady was experiencing severe pain at the time of defecation. She had repeated attacks of this pain for last many years. She was diagnosed with Chronic Posterior Anal Fissure and was advised surgery for relief. Her operation was done in Akram Medical Complex on 14-09-19 by Dr. Ahmed Fawad. Her lateral internal anal sphincterotomy was done by closed method. She was discharged after 2 days of hospital stay in healthy condition.
